Daisy loves my soft cushy chair as much as I do. She is waiting at my feet for me to stand up so she can hop onto my chair.. not just once...but every single time..lol

At some point I will get my christmas cards completed but only after I get Daisy her own soft cushy pillow.

He weighed 7lb 15 oz and is 21" long.

What a glorious day for all.

oh my...oh my...where does the time go.

Spoke to Ann yesterday and she had to remind me of my monthly book club class which I totally did not remember. I just started attending the class again after being away for quite awhile.

I fortunately got an email reminder for my drawing class which is tomorrow. oops
So much for practicing. I think my teacher will be calling me her high maintenance student. :)

Ann and I have started our collection of copic markers. While Christa was here we attended a class in Tulsa on Copic 101. It is so much fun and the colors are amazing.
However, I feel a need for Copic 201.

Note to self: take notes and write on calender and for goodness sake practice.

Just in case you don't recognize this flower it is a Calla Lilly.

I had an extremely horrible day today. I always try and most generally can overcome such days but this one was the worst I have had in a really long time...can't tell you how long. I was totally wiped out, mentally exhausted, when I got to class. I sat down and saw the example of what we were to draw and my first thought was...I can't draw that.

And we all know what negative thinking gets us...

So, I will try this flower again at home and see if I can do better.

(just realized I even dated it wrong.lol)

We are always looking for the perfect trimmer. Ann spotted this one and I think it is going to be a great one. Tonic 12" super trimmer.. Came with 3 extra blades, 2 sharp, one scoring. Plus it is light weight for 'have scrapbook will travel'. ha ha

This was our fourth annual Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention trip to Tulsa Sat and it was a blast. Got a lot of fun stuff and great ideas. This was our last stop on the way home.. yum fried pies.

Candy and I took a road trip to Round Rock, Tx. a few weeks ago. On the way back we stopped at an HEB to fill up and saw our first ever ethanol gas pump. It was 85% ethanol, price $1.85...

While Christa was home we took a drawing class from a lady that said she can teach anyone to draw. Well, this is my bird that looks like it saw a cat and is very angry about it. lol

I get it now...now I know why God didn't make me an artist. It requires patience. He knows me so well. However, he also knows I am not a quitter.. Right brain get ready for a work out..

We had a great 4th of July celebration with family and friends.

The Bethany parade was great fun. Having the fireworks show rained out was disappointing. However, I did enjoy the rain.
It was definitely a special 4th having Christa home..

Terry's El Mariachi Super Mercado

I went grocery shopping here yesterday for produce. Heard they had good prices.

My trip consisted of: 1 cabbage $.94, 2 bunches of large onions $.99, 2 ears of corn $.99, 1 small watermelon 2.50... grand total $5.87.

Are we ever hot and tired. When we finished class tonight sweet Daisy got in the car, laid down on the seat and did not move till we got home... No barking at horses..ha ha. On the way to class tonight we saw the carriage rides downtown. I told her it was only a horse...maybe it's the first one she has ever seen.

She did better this evening. We got a little more one on one help tonight which was good for both of us. They are teaching us things that I wouldn't have ever thought of.

To graduate she has to sit and stay for one minute and lay down and stay for two minutes.

Tomorrow...practice...practice....practice
